  • Do you offer ongoing support after the first visit?
Yes. Often one visit is enough, but many families like a follow-up - whether that’s another home visit, a clinic appointment, or even a quick telehealth check-in. Ongoing support can help with things like adjusting feeding as your baby grows, introducing bottles, or navigating weaning.
  • What if I don’t have any breastfeeding issues, but I just want some reassurance?
Absolutely, that’s perfectly fine! You don’t need to have a “problem” to see me. Sometimes parents just need a cheerleader - someone to say “you’re doing a great job” and to answer a few little niggling questions. I’m here for that too.
  • Can my partner/support person be involved?
Yes please! Breastfeeding and early parenting is very much a team effort. Partners and support people are always welcome (and encouraged) in sessions - the more supported you feel, the smoother the journey usually is.
  • Do you see women antenatally (during pregnancy)?
Yes, absolutely! I love supporting families before baby arrives. I see women (and their partners or support people) either one-on-one at home or in my clinic. We can chat about your feeding goals, breastfeeding history, do a gentle breast assessment, and answer any questions you have. Together, we can make a relaxed, personalised feeding plan that helps you feel more confident. I also run my Breastfeeding Ready group workshops every second month on a Saturday morning, this is a wonderful way to learn, connect, and feel supported before your baby arrives.
  • Do you do home visits, and what areas do you cover?
Yes, home visits are my main way of working because I know how tricky it can be to get out of the house with a newborn. I visit families within about 30 minutes of Croydon (Inner West Sydney), which includes Sydney's Inner West, parts of Western Sydney, and the Eastern Suburbs. If you’re unsure whether you’re in my area, just reach out and we can check. I also see families one day a week in my clinic space at Birth Time The Village in Annandale, if that’s easier for you.
  • Are your services covered by Medicare or private health insurance?
Some private health funds may offer rebates for lactation consultant visits, it’s best to check with your provider. Medicare rebates may be available if you see me in my endorsed midwife capacity. I’m happy to chat through your options.
