Frequently asked questions
Common Questions
Yes. Often one visit is enough, but many families like a follow-up - whether that’s another home visit, a clinic appointment, or even a quick telehealth check-in. Ongoing support can help with things like adjusting feeding as your baby grows, introducing bottles, or navigating weaning.
Absolutely, that’s perfectly fine! You don’t need to have a “problem” to see me. Sometimes parents just need a cheerleader - someone to say “you’re doing a great job” and to answer a few little niggling questions. I’m here for that too.
Yes please! Breastfeeding and early parenting is very much a team effort. Partners and support people are always welcome (and encouraged) in sessions - the more supported you feel, the smoother the journey usually is.
Yes, absolutely! I love supporting families before baby arrives. I see women (and their partners or support people) either one-on-one at home or in my clinic. We can chat about your feeding goals, breastfeeding history, do a gentle breast assessment, and answer any questions you have. Together, we can make a relaxed, personalised feeding plan that helps you feel more confident.
I also run my Breastfeeding Ready group workshops every second month on a Saturday morning, this is a wonderful way to learn, connect, and feel supported before your baby arrives.
Yes, home visits are my main way of working because I know how tricky it can be to get out of the house with a newborn. I visit families within the Inner West of Sydney and some surrounding suburbs. If you’re unsure whether you’re in my area, check out my home visiting area map here. (https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1FgUwJx63z6pyaB52GCreTtfA61s8l8Q&usp=sharing)
If you are outside of my home visiting area, you can come to see me at my clinic space at Birth Time The Village in Annandale. I am there every Wednesday.
As an Endorsed Midwife, I can offer Medicare rebates for eligible antenatal and postnatal midwifery services provided during pregnancy and up to 6 weeks postpartum, including breastfeeding and lactation support within this timeframe.
All appointments are privately billed and payable on the day. Where eligible, Medicare rebates are processed after your appointment and paid directly to you.
Medicare rebates are not available outside of pregnancy and the first 6 weeks after birth. However, breastfeeding and parenting support is still very welcome and available on a private basis at any stage.
Private health insurance generally does not cover midwifery or lactation consultations provided outside of hospital admissions. If you are unsure, it’s best to check directly with your health fund.
If you’re unsure whether your appointment may be eligible for a Medicare rebate, please feel free to get in touch, I’m always happy to clarify.

![✨ The feedback is in… and I’m honestly so humbled 🥹💛
Hearing how much parents have loved The Breastfeeding Ready Workshop fills me with so much gratitude. Creating a space where you can learn, ask questions, laugh, and leave feeling calm and confident about feeding your baby is exactly why I do what I do.
If you’ve been thinking about joining, the next workshop is on Saturday 13th December at Birth Time, The Village, Annandale.
Spaces are limited - I’d love to see you there!
